Lil tigger - Happy Halloween!

This weekend is Halloween and I think its probably been at least 4-5 years since I have actually dressed up for Halloween and attended a 'Halloween party". Frankly, you could have probably labeled me a Halloween scrooge. I just found Halloween to be so much effort and I guess there werent many fun 'Halloween" parties going on either. But since we have Owen, Halloween is going to be so much fun.
This year I have 2 costumes for the little man. We tried on his 'tiger' outfit. Both of our mascots in college was a tiger (Trinity & Princeton). I was looking for a costume that he can wear comfortably in a stroller or Bjorn because we are heading to Richmond, VA to stay with Molly, Rob and Henry and going to a Halloween party Sunday night with the little boys, so no wings!! Yeah, we are getting on another plane and I am flying solo with Owen to Richmond! So here is a peek at his tiger outfit.... we are going to try on his puppy outfit that Aunt Lo sent us, tomorrow!!

Bermuda and Kontes!

Wow, Bermuda is absolutely beautiful! This was my first trip to the island and I told Kim that I am most definitely coming back with Owen to get my diving certification and explore the underwater world out there with her!
Owen and I flew up alone on the 6am Friday morning flight which was awesome and not a problem at all. We flew to NY and then down to Bermuda- it was a great trip. Dont get me wrong, it is MUCH easier flying with Jeremy when traveling with Owen but Owen was a great travel buddy. The flight attendants loved him and they all wanted to hold him- which was awesome because they made me coffee and I was able to use the restroom all hands free!
If I had my choice I would fly first thing in the morning on the 6am flight like we did or I would do a late 7 pm flight. We flew out of NY returning to Houston on the 7pm flight and it worked out great because Owen ate and then he slept the entire flight!

Here are some pictures from our trip!

Owen and our really nice flight attendant who LOVED holding Owen.

Jim, Michael and Trevor took Owen and me to the botanical gardens where ew hung out in a boys paradise ( a huge climbing tree) and then kicked the soccer ball around a while on the grass.

Beautiful Beach!

Eeeeeee!

As of yesterday morning, Owen has figured out how to 'squeal'. You know that high pitch screeching noise a baby can make that makes your toes curl... that is the sound I am talking about. He likes to make it when he is perfectly happy and content- I think he is experimenting on my reaction time to see how fast I will react to him after he makes that noise because he does it ALL the time now! It is really perfect timing for our flight to Newark and then down to Bermuda tomorrow- ha! I am packing books and toys and I am hoping that between eating sleeping and playing I can do enough to keep him from finding that high pitch again- thank you music class :)
Wish me luck tomorrow... I am really looking forward to those beautiful beaches!

I used to be the person that rolled my eyes and thought to myself " oh great, this is just awwwesome. Where are my head phones, hurry, quick put them on and turn the volume all the way up" when a baby sat near me on a plane- funny how tables turn.

Unconditional Love

I love this little boy more than I ever imagined I was capable of... he makes me smile every single day in a completely different and new way.
Jeremy and I are so lucky to have him and I am so blessed to have them.

I think it is important to 'count your blessings'- as cliche' as it sounds, it is all too true.

Our little pumpkin: Austin and San Antonio

Owen and I jumped in the car and drove to San Antonio Wednesday afternoon to spend a few days with Lotte. We covered some serious ground and saw some great friends and family. Owen was the perfect road trip buddy... I first packed up the car and took him to San Antonio when he was 4 weeks old. A lot of friends couldnt believe that I would make that trip alone with Owen, but I couldnt believe I had to wait 4 weeks to do it! I love taking Owen places and giving him these experiences- I often joke about how Jeremy and I plan to strap him on our back and travel with him and there is no joking to it... we are very serious! We are all going to Bermuda next weekend and we cant wait!

On Wednesday we stopped in Katy to visit Jeremy's grandmother and Owen's great grandmother, Granny, who turns 91 in December! Owen is the first 'Radcliffe' grandson, so Granny was thrilled that we were having a boy who would carry the Radcliffe name.

We were lucky enough to spend the next afternoon with Nana, Owens other great grandmother! Grandy met us at Nana's and we took Owen to the pumpkin patch down the road and had a blast with him.

Grandy put Owen on 'blackie' the tire swing horse... I think Owen will be riding his pony in no time!

Owen also go to hang out with Uncle Chance-

One of my great friends from high school came by and met Owen. Courtney is due with Hugo Stolte V (aka: Cinco) in 7 weeks! I really enjoyed catching up with her and I am so excited that she is having a boy! Courtney- I cant wait to meet Cinco!

Mom and I drove to Austin with Owen and had a great time. We stayed at San Jose Hotel and it worked out perfectly for us because we could sit by the pool after Owen went to bed and enjoy a glass(es) of wine and we could watch him the entire time with my video monitor- I love that thing!

Of course we had to pop into By George, one of my favorite store, and Owen was center of attention while waiting on me to try on some things...

We love Jo's Coffee shop
