Jeremy and I went to McGonigel's Mucky Duck last night for dinner and an acoustic performance by one of our favorites, James McMurtry. Just like the woman next to me said, these are our modern poets... his songwriting is amazing and we all know the apple doesn't fall too far from that tree- his father, Larry McMurtry wrote a very well known book... Lonesome Dove.
Big bonus to last night- he played one of my favorites- No More Buffalo.
There is no shortage of tunes going on around the house for Owen. He is obsessed with Jeremy's guitar and loves strumming it.... he has also taken to banging plastic cups on the island. Jeremy will play the guitar most mornings and Owen just lays on the ground and stares at him. Pretty soon he will be moving and dancing.
Every morning Jeremy whistles to Tate to walk out front and get the paper and I am assuming this is where Owen's 'whistle' noises and puckering of his mouth came from.... Owen loves to pucker his lips together like he is whistling and blow air- he makes whistle noises from time to time as well!
This little boy is is doing something new every day and is developing and growing so fast!
